First Congregational Church is a place where each child is valued as a person and given plenty of opportunities to express themselves.  We offer these opportunities throughout the week.

Sunday Mornings at First Church

Nursery will be available for:

0-3 years old at the 9:30 a.m. Celebrate Service
0-2 years old at the 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service

 GODLY PLAY

This ministry exists for children in grades Pre-K - Fourth Grade. During a Godly Play hour, children enter into the exciting world of parables or sacred stories by wonderment and playful, creative responses to God's presence in their lives. Children will meet for Godly Play following the Children's Message at the Traditional Service and will then be guided to their classrooms:

Preschoolers and Kindergarteners will have class in The Village on the 2nd Floor

1st - 4th Graders will have class in Old Jerusalem on the 2nd Floor

All children Pre-K - 4th grade will start in the service at 11:00 AM before going to class.

FUSE

FUSE is the Youth Group at FCC. The name is derived from what is considered to be the High Priestly Prayer of Jesus from John's Gospel: "I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."

Youth in grades 5-7 and youth in grades 8-12 meet for fun, fellowship, and faith discussion. Our monthly schedule is as follows:

First Sunday of Every Month: FUSE worships in the Meetinghouse for Communion Sunday

Second Sunday of Every Month: FUSE meets in the Pathway Theatre for a movie, such as The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM.*

Third Sunday of Every Month: FUSE meets for Sacred Stories and Faith Discussion. On this Sunday, 5th-7th graders will have their own break-out group, and 8th-12th graders will have their own break-out group. Initially, all youth will meet in the Youth Room.

Fourth Sunday of Every Month: FUSE/The Breakfast Club leaves the church to go out to breakfast, 10:30 AM-Noon. Meet in the Fellowship Hall.*

*Transportation will be provided on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.
