Appalachia Mission Trip
Sunday, June 11 – Saturday, June 17, 2017
Last summer, a group traveled to Henderson Settlement, a workcamp and mission post of the United Methodist’s General Board of Global Ministries, that offers the wider church an opportunity to learn while serving: “loving and serving are mission concepts that work more effectively when there are faces and names to go with them; when stereotypes and prejudices are broken down.”
Henderson Settlement has been ministering in Laurel Fork Valley, Southeastern Kentucky, since 1925 as a “bridge between dreams and reality for mountain families” through workcamps and missions that extend vital services to the community.
