The resonant voices of the Cleveland Chamber Choir will embrace the depth of emotions with their warm and vibrant singing for this event on Saturday, September 22 at 7:30pm. Through the ages, composers have responded to the human tragedies of war and conflict with works of deep artistic relevance. The selections comprise music and poetry inspired directly by wars from the 16th-20th centuries, featuring compositions by Clement Janequin, Heinrich Schütz, Felix Mendelssohn, Rudolf Mauersberger, Aaron Rosenthal, Joel Martinson, Stephen Chatman, Rene Clausen, and Jonathan Quick. Music of peace and comfort, the soothing balms for conflict and tragedy, celebrates with both reverence and joy the conviction that the human race responds with hope and renewal in the face of the unthinkable. CCC presents these free concerts in honor of all service men and women past and present, and in particular honors the memory of Northeast Ohio’s fallen members of the military. Please join the Cleveland Chamber Choir as they open their fourth season—and bring your friends! FREE CONCERT!! No Tickets required.
