JOB OPENING: LEAD AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN
First Church is looking for a reliable Lead AV Tech to support our Sunday worship services year-round. This job requires availability on Sunday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm, plus the ability to attend practice sessions/holiday worship services/special events that require the use of AV equipment that occur on occasion throughout the year.
This person would be responsible for the video aspect of all livestreaming production. Must be able to operate and cut between multiple PTZ cameras, and have expertise with the Blackmagic switcher. Will work in conjunction with AV sound technician and provide guidance and support including monitoring/mixing sound and video feed to ensure quality. Will have lead responsibility for the set up and installation of microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video/audio monitors, and recording equipment. Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues and media system problems. Must be willing to create/edit/produce supplementary videos on occasion to be used on social media or in worship services.
Qualifications required include: High School Diploma or GED required. All / part of Bachelor’s degree in audio technology or related field, preferred. Experience with video production in a live environment, preferred. Knowledge and experience with recent/up-to-date audio and video equipment, editing, recording, and streaming technologies, required. On the job training will be provided, as necessary.
Hours: Standard 4 hour / week, plus more on occasion
Pay: Starting at $15-20 / hour depending on qualifications and experience
