Church School

Church School is currently on hiatus for the summer

Our philosophy of childcare is based on a holistic approach grounded in Matthew 19:14: “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We welcome all children and view them as whole members of our community. We seek to support their faith development and nurture their sense of God’s love for them.

Church School for Pre K – 8th grade is held every Sunday during the school year. Each week, children are offered a variety of age-appropriate ways to engage and grow in their faith, sing songs, learn about the bible, and have fun! Youth will begin worship with their families and leave for Church School following Thoughts for the Young. Children will return to their families at the conclusion of worship. On communion Sundays, children will return to their families just before communion begins.

During the summer months, children of all ages are invited and welcome to participate in worship with their families. Activity packets and snacks will be available. There is also a Family Room at the back of the Meetinghouse equipped with children’s toys and furniture, a rocking chair, a changing table, access to a restroom, and a speaker and large window so you can still see and hear the service.
