Holy Week & Easter

Please join us online for Holy Week and Easter. All are welcome!

To curb the spread of COVID-19 and until further notice we are not hosting in-person worship. Visit akronfcc.org/live to join us online.

Palm Sunday & Communion
Sunday, April 5, one service only at 10am
Online only at akronfcc.org/live
Join us for a moving remembrance of Jesus’ triumphal entry in Jerusalem. This act set the scene for the Messianic hopes of his followers who had no idea of the events of the week to come, and of the faithfulness of a God who would give them the promise of new life, not just for their time, but for ours too. Participants viewing remotely will be invited to participate in communion in real time via the live stream and are encouraged to have bread and juice ready ahead of time.

Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 9, 7pm
Online only at akronfcc.org/live
Join us online for an uplifting service focused on the profound night Jesus spent with his disciples washing their feet, sharing the new commandment, and the first communion. Viewers will be invited to participate in communion in real time via the live stream and are encouraged to have bread and juice ready ahead of time. This is a comfortable and relaxed service and a great way to introduce children to the journey of Holy Week as well as the key elements of our faith.

Good Friday
Friday, April 10, 7pm
Online only at akronfcc.org/live
Join us online for a Good Friday service in the Meetinghouse, a deeply moving service of readings and music. As a part of this tenebrae service, we’ll slowly dim the lights. We encourage you to have candles ready wherever you are and follow the order of service to create your own tenebrae time. If you have confidential prayer requests you want to have nailed to the cross during the service, please email them to Pastor Nanette.

Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 12, one service only at 10am
Online only at akronfcc.org/live
Join us for a celebratory worship service. This service is a time honored tradition of organ and instrumental praise that connects us to the hope and promise of Easter, wherever we may be!
